About the Project

Chesterfield, Missouri

CBB recently completed a traffic impact study for the proposed Wildhorse Village mixed-use development located in Chesterfield, Missouri. The proposed large-scale development is bound by Chesterfield Parkway on the east, Burkhardt Place on the south and west, and Wild Horse Creek Road on the north. This regionally significant development includes residential, office, and commercial uses.

The purpose of this study was to determine the number of trips that would be generated by the proposed development and evaluate the impact of those trips on operating conditions along the adjacent roadways. This complex traffic study required extensive coordination among multiple entities, including the site civil engineer, developer, City of Chesterfield, St. Louis County, and the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Upon completion of the study, CBB provided several recommended lane configuration and traffic control improvements that should be considered in conjunction with the proposed development. Our recommendations have been incorporated into the overall site design process. This development, and the proposed roadway improvements including the addition of three new signals are currently under construction.
